2011 TRCR Call for Papers

48th Annual BC Mine Reclamation Symposium

The BC Technical and Research Committee on Reclamation presents the Call for Papers for our 2026 Symposium in Fort St. John, BC with a confirmed mine tour at Conuma Resources mines in Tumbler Ridge.

2026 Call for Papers

The 49th Annual Mine Reclamation Symposium will be held from September 21st to 24th, 2026 in Fort St. John, BC.

The British Columbia Technical and Research Committee on Reclamation (TRCR) invites authors to submit written technical papers for oral presentation that address a wide range of reclamation practices including planning, implementation, effectiveness monitoring, regulation, and Indigenous leadership and collaboration.

Why present at the BC Mine Reclamation Symposium?

  • You get exposure for your good ideas and great work in the field of reclamation.
  • You give other practitioners the chance to learn from your experiences.
  • It is the best way to network—attendees will come to talk to presenters!
  • Your paper is publicly available as noted below, so there is a record of your work.

The TRCR actively welcomes participation from Indigenous nations and members of other BC communities. We encourage you to share your knowledge and experience with mine reclamation projects or mine applications in regulatory assessment, through a presentation or panel discussion. We will consider your proposals for presentations with or without accompanying papers.

Please e-mail abstracts (maximum 300 words) by April 15th, 2026, to:

Justin Straker, Technical Sessions and Papers Sub-Committee Chair.
